In Nov. Of 2008 a child was arrested in St. Johns, Az. His rights were not read to him by former Chief Melnick or by the acting dect. Debbie Nickel. The child was not aware of his right to have an attny. Present durning interrogation. I spoke with dect. Nickel and she told me that she was in one of the video tapings with the child interrogating him and that she was real good friends the childs step mother and family. This conduct is invoilation of the law, and the City of St. Johns, Az. Should be held responsible for their actions and the investagation should have been looked into further. I would like to see the dect. And former Chief should be fired and never be able to pactice any more in any state.
