Craigslist
Craigslist allows scammers and spammers on their job boards - they don't care!

Politics & Government

I have spent almost a year looking for a job. I use all of the popular search engines and started using Craigslist as they have a job listing category. This is a complete waste of time people!

When responding to these "job" postings with my resume and cover letter, I found that the automated responses were asking me to complete a Personality Survey or sign for some offers.in other words, these marketing companies are paying people to gather email and resume information and they are paying for it.

I have complained to Craigslist 7 different times and they have yet to respond - even though they claim to investigate and get back to you immediately! I have posted warnings in all of the job sections but keep getting flagged. I was able to keep one warning post on the board all day and received 27 emails from others, like myself, who were honestly trying to look for a job and tired of being scammed.

Basically, Craigslist does not care nor will they ever. Do not waste your time looking for a job on Craigslist. And for companies out there: go back to using your local paper or another search engine - PLEASE!

If anyone knows how to stop this, please let me know. Thank you!
