Gay and Lesbian Rights advocate Steven Sears attorney for the GAY BLADE and other publications has turned his back on the community by being a supporter of REPUBLICAN CAUSES. Now a LOG CABIN member isolated and withdrawn from the supporters of rights of minorities and the alternative lifestyle.
Sponsered events in NYC at Washington Square where steven sears and his partner were in attendance showed the lack of support for the sponsership of the Gay Pride Parade event which our community has supported for several years. Publications have cronicled the politcal right wing agenda causing factions in the gay and lesbian community to disassociate with the media rights group at our annual meeting.

Proposition 8 and other devisive attempts to break our resolve has been met with fierce opposition from religious right and the American Values League. Only by showing unity in face of opposition will we be able to fight back. Progressive states have a chance this year of gaining legislation while the southern states will still be a battle ground for our loyal members.
This complete about -face and turn coat way of snubbing group interests has shown that steven sears is only interested in his own agenda and not the interests of the community at large. A petition will be circulated at the next meeting to gather supporters for the legislative enactments at the state wide events.
