National Doesnt pay there employee's on time, and in violation of the Texaspayday law

I have to admit I was one of those people that believed that if ACORN was being attacked by the right wing, then they must be doing something right. So when I was offered the chance to join there Leadership Academt down in Houston I jumped at it.

Here I thought I get to make a difference and do some good, never mind that I live 250 miles from Houston and I was going to have to put my life on hild for the next 90 days. It was my dream job. They were going to train me on how to be a Community Organizer!!!

Well here is where it starts to go way down hill. I was not trained to be an Organizer. All I did for a month was go around and knock on peoples doors and ask them to sign up to be members and collect that money.

Well when I started to question this practice all I got was a bunch of crap from the people in the office. After a month of this when I said that this was not Organizing it was block - walking and when were we going to learn anything else, Surprise I got let go.

This was on May the 13th. Under Texas Pay Day Law they have 6 days from the time I leave to pay me. Well here it is May 26 and I still dont have my money yet.

Watch out people there not all they claim to be. They need a complete investigation into there activities. For a group that claims to be about peoples rights, they sure do have a way of abusing them.
