Don't believe the lies. A $500 prcessing fee is not a standard fee at any Virginia dealer!

When purchasing a car from Volvo of Fredericksburg at an agreed price I found there was a $500 fee added to the invoice. When I asked about the $500 fee and what it covered I was told by Michael Vitiello (Finance Manager) " It is a standard fee found at any VA dealer. Any dealer in VA charges this $500 fee for handling a car. This fee is non negotiable, that is why it is printed in red on the form." Being skepticle by nature I did a little investigation a few days after purchasing the car finding that I was blatantly lied too. Fees in VA and in almost any state vary from $25-$500 dollars. Fees are negotiable and it is reccomended you negotiate these fees. Watch out for Michael Vitiello, he portrays an honest guy.
