Is A Bad Neighbor Tenants cause damage to another unit, Waterstone refuses to take responsibility

Waterstone Resort Realty LLC owns 4 condos in building 7 of the Nautilus Cove Condominium at 13700 Panama City Beach Parkway, PCB, Florida 32407.

They have a history of irresponsible renting out of their owned units and are the subject of a civil suit at the moment.

The toilet in the secondary bathroom upstairs of my unit overflowed while I was away for several months. When I returned I found the ceiling damaged and with mold growing on it.

This should have been a simple thing to have corrected as toilets overflow all the time and they have 3000 rental units in this section of Florida. My contacts with them were fobbed off.initially they claimed it was not their responsibility and told me to have the condo fix it. This did not fly with me or with the condo. Their own plumber told the condo management that it was a faulty trap on the toilet in 716.

Still they won't do anything. My only reply from them was a faxed letter from a Stephanie Morris, Director of Operations, dated October 22 and she closes by saying "I will contact you as soon as I have more information." That was 7 weeks ago and I have not had any further contact, my calls, faxes and emails to Waterstone get no reply. When calling I find she is "in a meeting and will call you back", damn long meeting!

I have tried to contact Mr. Ben Edwards the Waterstone CEO (bedwards@waterstoneresorts.com), same thing with him, no reply at all. Waterstone is rated as 'U' or Unacceptable by the Pensecola Better Business Bureau due to not responding to complaints (mine included - Case No 19019902). Blogspot.com Waterstone also uses an address of 1008 Airport Road Suite C, Destin, Fl 32541 and they have many companies under the Waterstone label. So many that even they can't seem to figure out who they are, the only letter to me was written on Waterstone Resorts & Vacation Homes stationary not Waterstone Resort Realty LLC or Waterstone Resorts LLC (another of their many companies).
