Great Expectations
Big Money for NO SERVICE

Politics & Government

I joined GE-Nashville 6 months ago. During the past 4 months, GE has not added 1 new member in my area. The only communication available is via e-mail - and if your lucky you might get some response in a few weeks.

During the initial interview, I was promised many things, such as:
3-4 monthly events to meet new members
New, local members weekly, if not daily.
Background check on all new members - In reality, I suspect that they only do a credit check.
Laura, the owner/salesperson, tried to "sell" me on the idea that the men are told they must pay for the date and if I only went on 1 date a week, the savings in meal costs would more than cover the monthly charge for their "service".
"Freeze" option - if you upgraded to the 2 year contract (price), which would allow you to extend your membership by freezing it when you want to take time off from the dating scene and save the $30.00 per month "Access" charge.
I was never given a copy of my paperwork (contract) and have asked repeatly (via e-mail, of course) for a copy and have not received anything.
A Professional Photo shoot, which was scheduled during the initial interview - they failed to mention that you can't get any of the pictures for under $200.00! (And the photos were not very good)

I have communicated with the "former owner", (who in fact, signed me up) through e-mail, asking that they "Freeze" my account. She did "Freeze" the account but has continued to charge me the monthly charge - for the last 4 months! I plan to close my debit card this week to ensure that they do not continue to charge me; obviously they aren't capable of following through on the promise to have the charge stopped and credited! There is no telephone communication available; if you call, Barry will call you back and let you know that he will pass on the information to the owners.

The 1st person I went out with, was listed as divorced but was seperated and still very hung up on his wife. Three days later, he is calling asking if I would like for his "soon to be ex-wife" to talk to me and assure me that their relationship was over! Come on, how crazy do you have to be to think someone you went out with once wants to get permission to date you from your wife? This is a Perfect example of GE's "background check" or lack there of. (And I had to buy my own drink, we only met for a drink).

No new members have joined in Nashville for over 3 months.

I paid $3500.00 for a service that provides NO SERVICE AT ALL!

If anyone is interested in a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT, please contact me through this site. It's time for GE to get a wake up call from the people who have been ripped off!
