Roofing companies with little history / and or no BBB affiliation doing work in your neighborhood!

I am a homeowner in the Norcross area and I have noticed several signs in my area popping up and advertising for numerous different roofing companies. Curious, I decided to talk to some of my neighbors and found that they were getting their roofs replaced through their insurance companies. So naturally I filed a claim and went through the same process myself.

What I found however was that I think I did a little more homework than those around me in the neighborhood. I found some of the companies haven't been in business very long (Pro-Active, since January), some weren't even with the BBB (Fortress), and some didnt even have a physical address, just a P.O. Box (Wilson Roofing), the only reason I am writing this is in hope that my neighbors will do the same homework I have. Please consumer beware!!! And do your homework!!!
