I received a message on cell phone saying I had won from last month's entry at Target's. I knew something was wrong because I had not been to a Target store nor, will I ever, if this is a scam by Target.

This is wrong in so many ways. To do this at Christmas is a horrible thing to do. Ultimately, it could affect the lives of children whose parents can't afford to buy toys for them. If the parents received this, and see a way to provide for their children when all it is; is a scam. Shame on you, target.
