I am trying to sell a Kubota Tractor on Craigs list. I get these nice emails from Bryan Taylor wanting to buy it for his son. He is a "ship captain" and going to sea and has to deal with me via email. It looks legit. Even has a photo of a guy.
I started to get suspicious when he asked to add the Pick Up Agent Fee to the total amount so that I could pay the company that was going to pick it up for him. But I played along, when I got the email that he processed his payment with me through PayPal as we had agreed, I got some emails that look real from Service@paypal.com, but they were sent by mrs. Margbella@gmail.com on behalf of pay-pal_service_confirmation@secureroot.com. This is where I got really suspicious and started doing more research. He needed me now to send $900 to his pick up agent in Texas via Western Union MoneyGram and take a picture of it and email the picture to PayPal so they would release my funds.
The Agent, Jessica Harvey gave an address in Desoto, TX. I researched it to find it to be a grocery store. The store manager said they have a Western Union Service there but what I described to him made him suspicious as well.
Then I discovered this site by Google searching Bryan Taylor and Jessica Harvey. I have not sent any money. I am going to string this guy along a bit more. Has anyone notified the FBI? This is Interstate Wire Fraud. A Felony.
