We almost fell for this. About a month ago, my wife signed up at a Target store for a Target credit Card as part of a promo offer the store was having. We assumed right away when we got the text that this was a part of that credit card promo. I'm glad I'm at least a bit of a skeptic! I am concerned because we did go as far as to enter the (Inappropriate Content Removed) winning code on the targetcontests.com website, so they now probably have my wife's phone number as a "live one." I will now go through the additional hassle of blocking the sender's number - 908-762-5806 - through MyVerizon, but shouldn't have to do this. I will also call Target and cancel their (Inappropriate Content Removed) credit card. They should be taking serious action against (Inappropriate Content Removed) like this who ruin their good name.
