Miscellaneous

I received a call from this indian woman where she told me that I was chosen for a $9200 federal grant. She talked to me explaining how and why I had won, and then provided my local address, which made me believe her. She then went on to give me a code that I would have to give to someone else when i called them. As soon as I called that number I was told that I would have to donate $140.00 to U.S. Government sponsored organization in Vietnam to help the people there by another Indian woman. I had to to go to Western Union and send the funds; all the while, I was on the phone with this woman telling me who to send it to. Once it was complete I gave her my receipt MCRN number. She approved it and said that the funds would be sent within 30 minutes. After waiting, I called her back and she told me to call another number 646-397-9911 and let them know I hadn't received my grant.
After getting a hold of a man there, he said he would have to call the Federal Reserve Bank of Washington D.C., because it was from there that they are sending the money, to get me my funds. Then when I called back he said that I couldn't get my funds, because on my taxes I don't have a PPI insurance that would allow me to receive an amount of money this large. So he called my state's IRS to see what could do, while i was on hold. When he got back to me he said that I $9800, but I have to pay $570 for this insurance. Then they wanted me to call them back once I had this money so they could send me the money. At this point it was getting really shady so I never called.
