I received a text to my phone saying that "my entry last month has WON! Go to Target Contests.com and enter your winning code 93849 to claim your FREE $1,000 Target gift card with 24hrs." I know that this "is too good to be true", but I checked out the website to report my complaint. I tried to enter the 5-digit code, but the entry box would only accept the first 4 digits. No problem, it accepted my code! It asked for my e-mail address and terms and conditions were indicated at the bottom of the page in small print and there was a terms and conditions link. I briefly scanned through the terms, and as best I can figure, you need to enter a type of buyers club and complete a whole bunch of requirements to qualify.
