Miscellaneous

Someone called identifying himself as Jay Lewis the Director of the company. He said my name had been computer drawn and I had won 3 gifts: diamond watch, $500 grocery certificate and 3 free months subscriptions to 3 magazines. Also, my name would be entered into the final $5000 Pusblisher's Clearninghouse sweepstakes and the info would be mailed to me. He quizzed me about which credit card I favored and asked if I was 79 years old or younger. Then he said all I needed to do was to commit to purchasing one outstanding magazine for $2.99 week. When I said I wasn't interested he immediately hung up!!! I recently put my name on a list for senior citizens to receive special offers. I suspect he got my contact info from that because he called me at work. I had no idea who this guy was and was not about to give him any further info. Someone just called from the same phone number (403-845-0403) a few minutes ago (Nov 19) but no one said anything and I immediately hung up. So far, I'm not aware of any money that I've lost but that remains to be seen because I'm not sure how these people work.
