I rented a car from them, signed the contract and left the rental place, about an hour later i recieved an email saying that if i dont return the car with the same amount of gas that was in the car i would be charged an additional days rate of $141.43 plus $7.50 per gallon. The $7.50 per gallon is stated in my contract even though hanging up in the rental place it says $5.50 per gallon. No where in the contract does it say i will charged an extra days rate. When i called up they said the email is serve a warning now, i said i would have never rented the car if this was the case, she said "too bad". I am going to dispute this charge but this is not allowed. They cant just charge whatever they want especially when there is a gas shortage and the hurricane just hit over here. Anytime you rent a car you either return it with the same amount of gas or they charge for the missing gas. This is price gauging and is illegal to change the contract once i already left please do something about this
