I had a virus on my computer, so Best Buy told me to call Toshiba to get help. I thought I was calling Toshiba to get help, because when I did a search for Toshiba on the Internet, this company came up saying they were Toshiba. They said they could help, but they needed a credit facts number. Stupidly, I gave them my cc number, and they said the charge would be $79. Then another guy came on and said there would be another charge for $89 for the online tech support, but I would get a rebate coupon emailed to me when he was done and the $89 would show up as a credit on my cc statement in 3months. I thought all of this was odd, but I still thought I was dealing with Toshiba. I didn't realize it wasn't Toshiba until the tech started remotely working on my laptop and removed my Norton Antivirus and put theirs on.instead of being charged $79 on my credit card statement I was charged $119, and I have no idea what for. I will turn this over to AMEX and let them deal with the charges that I refuse to pay for.
