My wife answered an ad for adopting two Siberian Husky Puppies on the free ASNClassifieds.com website. This was on 08/26. Mrs. Bilet responded several times back to my wife and finally after the last e-mail from her she requested our personal information in order to transfer ownership (AKC registration). After that there was no response until she texted me on 10/19 (Friday morning). At that time she asked if we were still interested in either one or both of the puppies. I responded and texted her back that we wanted both and asked her what the cost would be to transport the puppies down here, she responded $250.00. I answered back that I would not have the money until my paycheck the following Friday. That Friday early am I started getting text messages from her asking again if I still wanted the puppies? I responed that we did. She then stated that she was going to the place to register the puppies. The texting continued most of the day and ended with a pet relocation company requesting a $250 fee for the relocation to our home. I went to WalMart and sent the MoneyGram for that amount. Later that night the company e-mailed me back and stated that they could not verify the transaction and insisted that I re-wire the money via a Western Union Money Transfer, which I did the next day. But, WalMart had warned me that this might be a scam and so I checked out the company and tried to check out Jennifer Bilet (puppies' breader) and Darrell Allen (the company's Miami, FL accountant - were the money was to go). After all this and several e-mails from the company everything went silent! Now we feel that we have definitely been scammed. And after reading about other simular situations involving a doctor who breeds dogs (of various breeds) I realize we are not the first victims!!! Buyer beware: This is a very methodical and thought-out operation!
