Be very aware that this is not a rebutal for consumer research corp aka product test panel.

Product Test Panel is a sub company of Consumer Research Corporation, which is a sub company of Subscriber Base In.

I have gotten the same SPAM MAIL and was also very interested. I did read the terms and conditions VERY carefully. I then came to Rip-off to see if there may be a reason not to go and sign up. Well, as you can see I am also making a report. I called the company @ 803-790-8381 and talked to the receptionist who gave me the extention to the customer service manager for Product Test (Emily x264). She gave me the whole scoop on the conditions of the product testing, which, by the way, ARE layed out in the terms and conditions, but down towards the bottom of page 2, if cut and pasted to a word processor. As Quoted

"Specific Terms and Conditions for the ProductTestPanel.com (PTP) Membership Incentive Promotions: (d) ACQUIRE TWO ADVERTISER ACTION POINTS FROM EACH OF PTP'S THREE OFFER GROUPS FOR A TOTAL OF SIX ADVERTISER ACTION POINTS."

The only thing that truly turned me off from the offer is that they did not garantee that I would be selected for an actual test product. What she said is that once I completed the requirements for the advertisers that my email could be selected AT RANDOM to test a product. Effectivly a lottery.
