Miscellaneous

I purchased a pair of shoes from Ann-Shoes Store (aka Annes-shoes, anne-shoes.com, or toni-mall.info) via PayPal—as I have always done, assuming I would be covered in the event of fraud or a scam. Well, these people did their homework and went to the MIT of Fraud Universities!

They put a shower cap or sponge (that's what I got) in an envelope and obtain a tracking via the USPS.By doing this, they have proof of delivery with PayPal. Thus, PayPal will NOT refund your money since the seller has proof mailing and even proof of delivery.

Wait... It gets better! I discovered this when I asked my Postmaster to check out the tracking number given to PayPal during my dispute resolution. Ironically, the USPS is not allowed to obtain any information and/or get involved in any way in international shipments! Funny thing, though, the Postmaster noticed on the tracking information that an international LETTER was delivered. The shoes I ordered were Men's Size 10—definitely would not fit in a letter—RED FLAG—LIGHT BULB!!!

I am now sitting on hold waiting for PayPal to answer my call. I just now realized that a few weeks ago when I received a random sponge from China, that it was really a pair of shoes!

I am curious how this will turn out. As a power seller with eBay, I certainly hope PayPal does the right thing. If this is the caliber of clients they wish to represent, I do not want to be affiliated with them. Google checkout is looking REAL good right now!
