Sour smell - Gain detergent

I recently bought Gain Apple Mango Tango detergent. It smells good in the bottle but after I wash my sheets and blankets with it it turns a sour smell. I had to rewash everything and I would never buy this again. It's a shame to spend $5 on detergent just to throw it out.
