I received a phone call on my cell phone October 09 at 10:54 P.M. And it read:

Your entry last month has WON! Go to BestBuyWin.net and enter your winning code 5555 to claim your FREE $1000 BestBuy gift card within 24 hrs.

I am asking for damages of $1000.00 from the phone number listed above and maybe they will stop sending and promising to innocent bystanders. They said I was entitled to this and they should have to pay.

Please let me know what I further have to do so that this doesn't happen to me or anyone else.

I think Verizon should start doing something to prevent these scams from happening. With the technology that is out there I can't believe they can't prevent or catch these individuals and make them pay damages.

I truly enter in quite a few sweepstakes so I truly believed I could of been a winner.
