Sounds like I have a pretty similar story as has already been posted. Called my phone-based teller service for my credit union and found a strange charge of $29.95, with a check number of 6 digits when mine are only 4 digits. I went by my bank and they called the # listed, 1-877-866-0144. The woman on the other end said they were a third party check clearing service. This was also a check conversion voucher and was said to be for website access, though she couldn't tell me the website. Said it was done online Sept. 6 at 8:43am. I work late so I am not even up at this time. This is a definite scam!
