Miscellaneous

On monday, september 17th a friend sent me an email about starting a job at home using my computer, i heard about people doing this on tv and it sounded interesting to me. I read all the info about it and at the very end it asked for my credit card info. Which i provided, but after i entered it for some reason my computer went blank. I didn't bother seeing what the problem was and just turned it off. I forgot about this and the next day i checked my mastercard statement and was glad it didn't go through. On sept. 19th i received a phone call from someone about the job, i said i was surprised to hear from them. He said he wanted to know why i was interested in the job and i mentioned i was on a fixed income & could do with another income. He said he would have me speak to his supervisor to see if i qualified and put me on hold. Another man came on then asking me a lot of questions about my income etc. And said he was sure i qualified for the job, but he wanted me to speak to his manager, i said i didn't have time then to talk because i had a meeting to go to in half an hour. He gave me his manager's phone no. And asked me to call him the next evening at 7 pm, but if i was busy & couldn't call then to phone him and let him know when a better time would be. I mentioned to him i wanted my son to be there when i called him and he said that would be ok. The next morning i called my son & asked him to come by my place that night to be with me when i called him, when i told my son what it was about he said it must be a scam and told me not to answer the phone if he called again. I am glad i have call display because when i saw his no. Come up at 7 that night i didn't answer the phone. He left a message and told me to be sure and call him as soon as possible, but i didn't. This week he called every night at 7 o'clock but i didn't answer the phone. I looked on my mastercard statement and sure enough on september 19th there was an entry for $ 99.07 canadian. It said "jetshelp.com" and when i got into that site i was so happy to find your website for help i don't know how it happened... Did you know this was a scam? Thank you and i hope i didn't ramble on too much but i wanted you to understand the whole story, and if there is someway to have my mastercard credited i would really appreciate it very much. I live near toronto, ontario canada. Best regards for any help you can give me... Joan o'donnell
