Listed bedroom suit on sale on Craigs list. Have never used it before so not familiar with all the ins and outs but was contacted by a man named Tyler Holmes who wanted me to send him pictures of the furniture because he wasn't going to be able to make it to Clarksville. Sent pics and he said he wanted it and he'd give me an extra $50 to hold it for him. I wait about a week and email him back to see if he still wants it because I have someone else interested. He then tells me yes and he sends me a cashier's check and tells me to keep my money the $50 for holding it and another $50 for taking the reminder to Western Union to send to the mover. Today the bank called me and told me the cashier's check was a scam so now I am out this money not to mention the fact that I am on a tight budget as it is. I am devastated and don't know how I can ever get ahead with the bank. I am changing everything. I will no longer be using a checking account for anything. The western union money went to a Thomas Scott in MS. I work for an attorney and we are in the process of tring to obtain video of this supposed Thomas Scott picking up the money that did not exist. My other concern is that the bank did not realize this was fraud sooner.
