I was contacted through Match.com. Received an e-mail from a man stating he was deployed in Afghanistan. Claimed to be widowed and had an adopted child in Ghana. The child was residing with the caregiver from whom he had been adopted. Stated the child had not been in touch and he was not able to contact the caregiver. Asked me to call from here in the states. I did and the caregiver stated the childs laptop was broken and needed a new one. I relayed that info to the "soldier" and he asked for me to wire money to Ghana for a laptop. The "caregiver' now has my landline number and has called several times. I have now blocked international calls.
