Got a phone call yesterday from a man, Peter Woods, claiming to be with microsoft. I had a viruse in my computer. He had me type info into my computer and then he was able to access into it from his end. He showed me that I had a Alureon virus. My computer and all computers in the house would crash. He knew how many computers I had, and that I had a router for all of them. I kept arguing with him, but he got me so scared that all of my computers were going to crash, that I caved in and bought the CLSID number needed to protect these computers and any other computers every entering my home. It was in the internet line. I bought it hook line and sinker. I did report it to my credit card company and federal trade commission. I have been trying to get them on the phone, but of course, a recording that all agents are busy, and then a hang up. Yesterday, however, that same number he gave me and I called it and asked to be transferred to him, and they did. Today I have emailed them to ask for a refund, as of yet, not response. Is my computer now it risk?
