My husband recieved a phone call stating he was a winner on the Mega Box Sweepstakes for 2.9700$. After paying a $45.80 charge on a greendot scratchoff which was for the prize to be released from Las Vegas and sent to us in Wilmington, NC. The following day Donnel Blake called us back to say $297.00 needed to be paid for his state taxes before they could release it. My husband got another greendot scatchoff. More excuses and more steps were being told to us when I had had enough and got involved. According to the NC tax revenue no taxes had been paid and I called the government facility that was supposly auditing our prize and they had not a clue what I was talking about. We have had contact with them since demanding a refund and their response is unless we go through with the entire procedure which includes tracking numbers and our bank account number we can't receive our refund. The number they was calling us from was 843-545-6072 Donnel Blake was his name however the voicemail says Jon Peterson and he is supposly the accountant that I was speaking with. We are willing to help catch this fraud ring with the correct backup, not just for ourselves but for the others they have gotten or intend to get. Now when they call its from a witheld number.
