I met James through BBW Datefinder website in March. Typical dating scam - I now speak from experience. He was supposed to be working in Texas when we first chatted, but then went to Nigeria to build some structures. Claimed his son, Hunter, was in Ibadan, Nigeria, with him. Required funds for various reasons - hospital, paying for equipment rentals, paying employees, paying hotel bill, paying for food - always because cheque he received could not be cashed in Nigeria. Didn't matter what solution I suggested, there was some reason why it would not work. Phone numbers from MTN company in Africa, incoming calls always came from phone numbers starting with Nigerian country code, 234, and also used a "ping" number in the US for a short time. Also used a "friend" called Mr. George Deji, and Parker Smith in Texas. I have numbers, Western Union receipts, emails and chat histories. Talks with an accent on the phone, supposedly born in Germany, father and mother deceased. His act is that he is dependant on you to help him because there is no one else to help him.

Unfortunately, these people know the right words to use to persuade lonely, newly single women to trust them and believe that they are honourable and trustworthy. And before you know it, you have sent more money because he promises that he will pay you back.
