CURE canceled my insuranceafter a payment was made and without proper notification

TOPIC: I had auto insurance with CURE and it was canceled without proper notification. Notice was sent by regular mail and not certified.

CURE was to send me an email notification but did not get one.

- I paid my bill on August 15 and I received a letter from CURE stating that they are pleased to reinstate my Reciprocal Insurance Contract to become effective 12:01 August 16 - I Had a car accident on September 22 when my car became unresponsive and slammed into the route 80 E NJ, guard rail. The State police took a report I did not receive a ticket. My driving record is clean. NO POINTS, NO TICKETS, NO SUSPENSIONS, NO VIOLATIONS and first accident since I have been driving for 24 years. The same day of the accident I reported to CURE, they took the accident report from me then told me my insurance is canceled due to non payment.

I argued my case but they are going in circle with me and giving me a hard time.

The supervisor told me to go find insurance elsewhere.

I told her that I am wrongfully being mistreated.

Prior to this incident, a couple of months ago I had requested to have online bill and notices sent to me.

- In this incident they said after I made the August payment they required additional payment.

- I did not get the mail and they did not email me a notice.

- If they did I would of known because the message would come directly to my phone and I would have paid the fee via-pay-by - text, to prevent cancellation of my policy.

- I am a single mom with five children, one has a disability and none of them has licenses yet.

- I work in Management full-time and I go to school full time to continue my degree.

I am the sole provider for them which means everyday before I go to work I have to drop them off at individual locations ranging from pre, elementary, Midddle and High school and I have to do the same and pick them back up in the afternoon.

- Right now I am without transportation because I am without coverage. I can't get a rental car or a loaner.

- I don't know how I am going to get my brand new 2012 Dodge Journey fixed and back on the road.

- I got the car for my kids and I am working hard to give them a better quality of life but now this is setting us back.

- and CURE has no consideration
