Power4home
This is a rip-off

Miscellaneous

I ordered the basic power4home package for $61.58. I was supposed to have gotten a DVD and 4 books. Only the DVD arrived. It is amateurish. It appears to have been written by someone who speaks English as a second language. The information on the solar panels could have been gotten off of the internet or a middle school science book, for free. You are guided through a process that uses 2X4s and plywood to make a panel of unknown output and at unknown costs.

The section on the wind generator was laughable. You are suposed to buy their generator motor then build a wooden box to mount it in. You are told to go buy a bathroom vent fan and tear out the hub. Then you are to strip the blades off of the hub and rivet on your own homemade blades. Then, using their hardware you put the whole contraption on a 4X4 post.

I was also given an unauthorized charge of $67.00 for some sort of super package. Fortunately, CLKBank did refund both charges with little effort on my part.
