I was on craigslist and posted an ad seeking to meet someone. Someone emailed me with pictures and a phone number to call them. They said they were a police officer in (East County) San Diego so they could pre-screen me to make sure I was not "unstable" then they bragged about how they can get information on anyone with special software used by border patrol and the DOJ. I called the police since there was I never met the person in real life they brushed me off by saying it was internet and to call the FBI!!! I am scared. I have pictures of this person. Why would a cop email back their pictures from a craigslist ad then scaring me how they can run peoples background, etc. I had to signup for lifelock today. I feel the police need to do something if this person is really one of their own. This person was bragging about he also had another gay man in Hillcrest watched because he was a "danger" to the transgender community. He said the man never had a record but no one cares. Anyone interested. Call me. Do not want to see any hurt. Did to speak to an Officer * who was VERY nice to me. But I still think this should be aired or published ever since the Craigslist Killer story. (The person I was going to meet is also a female transitioning to a male). Police report # 05730.
