I work for the corporation. I have 35 year of experience. When I started working with Bonnie I was told to take all the walk ins. She placed me in the salon where people could see me work. I came in the following week and was told not to take any walk ins, I was told to move my equipment, I was screamed at when I asked (Why?) in front of the whole salon. When I asked why my paycheck was only 52.00 For two weeks It was snatched out of my hands and I was screamed at again. Later I learned that she hired another person (who by the way does not have license to work} and she put her at my station. She also has the girl work without a manager. She give this girl anyone that calls or walks in. Tara calls, whom I never met and talks down to me as if I was dirt on her shoe. When I initially started, I did tell them that there had been a vacation planned for the 3rd & 4th week of my starting. They gave me a hard time about that.By law they have to honor that. I never got paid for my selling over 300.00 in products and now I'm being repremanted for being out 1 day, which I did get coverage for, but the girl never showed up. I dress well, I create a great image for the salon, that's more than I can say for the rest of the staff. I have skills that no one in that place could learn in a life time. I learned most of these skills from an award winning barber in Italy. I have a lot to offer the company, but obviously they are content with so so styling. I thought it would be a good company to work for and I could excel with all my knowledge, but I was wrong. They cater to those who have been there. And they also show age discrimination. Another issue is that I was recently diagnosed with lime decease and I Made Bonnie aware of this when I applied for the position. She just ignores me. They formed this little click and I'm obviously not part of it. What kind of Regional Manager tell one of her hard working stylist that if she does not do something with her hair, we will fire you. Or I don't like your clothing. And not in private she told this older person that in front of the whole salon. I just don't see how this can go on. How people in this company can treat me this way. What happened to respect?
