Jail weak to check facts Chooses to charge twice for same offence

I am writing in regards to an inmate at the Macomb County Jail. The name is Don and was extradited to Michigan on an warrent for unpaid child support.

Mr. Trowbridge has proof in the state of Florida courts where he resides that all child support payments have been taken care of in the year 1999. At this time he is told he will need over $14 grand to even get released. We can't understand why the courts wont check on this matter. The proof is there and this individual should not be incarcerated.

It is the responsibility of Michigan Courts to check into this matter but instead choose to ignore the facts and collect for payments already paid to date not to mention this charge against him is a felony. This is not justifiable and this could ruin a mans life for their mistake or just plain laziness.

I would greatly appreciate any help or advise on this matter. We all know how hard it is to deal with the court system. I can't seem to get anywhere. Thank you.
