Repo'd while in the hospital!

I had purchased a car from JD Byrider 2 years ago and it was the biggest mistake of my life! I had just left my husband of 7 years and filed bankruptcy for the debt that he caused. I had no choice but to purchase a car from them.

I should have known what type of company this was when they REFUSED to tell me a price for cars on the lot! They also REFUSED to let me put down a larger down payemnt in order to get the vehicle I wanted! I was 8 months pregnant at the time and arrived at 7am to the so called dealership. I finally signed the paperwork at 9 PM! After all that time they then informed me that I had to watch a video in order to purchase the car.

Since I was so pregnant, hungry, and completely frustrated about how long they took to sell me a car, I declined the video and went on my way in my new piece of junk.

I had that car in the shop for almost 3 weeks right after I purchased it and they refused to take it back. I was calling every day and begging them to just take the thing, but they wouldn't.

6 months into my payments, I was hospitalized and called the manager from the hospital and explained the situation. He told me not to worry about it and to make the payments when I was released. The day I was released, I drove home to get my checkbook and stuff to go make the payment.By the time I came out of the house not even 20 minutes later, they were repossesing my car!

They refused to let me pay the 1 payment I missed because i was in the hospital and demanded that I pay the remaining $4,000 balance on the car in order to get it back. I should have done it because that $4,000 is now up to $11,000 that I owe them. They are taking $400 a month out of my paycheck for the garnishment. Almost all of the money is going to intrest that is still being added daily! I can not afford to buy food, pay rent, and struggle just for gas to get to work. Unfortunately, I can not get any public assistance because I make too much money. I guess they do not take into account that between taxes and this garnishment, I am only bringing home $800 a month and $400 of that goes to daycare alone!!
