VERY interesting article. PODS are trying to take unauthorized money from our bank account after taking out the agreed TOTAL amount just last week.in total, we have had this POD, since Jan 19, they were supposed to pick it up from our home in Sacramento, CA Feb 1,201. I had top call PODS 3 separate times because they were not taking the final installment out of our account nor picking up the POD with our furniture that needed to be delivered to Seattle, WA by March 1. Every time I called, they did not have any pick up date in the system. Urrrgggg. Also, the initial installment, was emailed to me as $433 to be taken out as instructed by me on the 15th of Jan for delivery on the 20th of Jan. They took $533 out on the 13th of Jan. Which overdrew my bank account. My husband gets paid on the 15th and I would never have agreed to the 13th and the amount was more than agreed upon. When I called PODS, the answer was "that's how we do it here". This has been so far and continues to be a very very frustrating experience. I called PODS today regarding the fraudulent monies that they tried to take out of my bank account, without any phone calls, emails etc, they tried to take out extra monies, there isn't a "manager" at speak to at PODS. You have to leave a message for someone to call you within 24 hours. Chase, our bank, noticed that PODS tried to take out more money and put a hold on my account. The best thing Chase has ever done. I was informed that PODS have been trying to take more money out of our account so Chase placed a hold on it. I conferenced PODS in to our Chase call, but only got a voice mail at PODS. Chase fraud department caught PODS! I guess this happens alot to Chase customers. Buyer be aware!!! I look forward to what PODS has to say, these monies have crossed State lines and guess what PODS??? We have a call into the Feds. You have messed with the wrong people this time.
