My son died in Tonopah in 2004. That's been awhile now but I wanted to enter this with my head, not my emotions. His death was said to bea suicide but I highly doubt it due to many things that happened then and are still going on.

When my family and I found out about his death (2 days later) we went to Nevada, from Colorado, and deputy Farinholt knew we were coming. After arriving at 2:30 in the afternoon, we entered an empty sheriffs department which is also the court house where the D.A. S office is and the county clerk. Not a soul was there nor did the phones ever ring. The dispatcher called the deputy and told him we were there. It was 45 minutes before he showed his face and then he had a canine unit in tow and went passed us with it into the D.A. S office, saying "be there in a minute."

After an hour and a half goes by, he comes back, no dog in tow. He told me to come with him and I told my brother to come on, needing him for moral and physical support but the deputy would not let him come with me. He has me following him around the back where all the offices are for over an hour, the whole time telling me that yes, we can have the body but not the possessions he had on him and not until talking to his supervisor. He goes into an office, closing the door most of the way and again I waited! After 15 minutes and hearing nothing from that room, I finally re-joined my family in the lobby, telling them what I'd been told.

After another 20 minutes the deputy stuck his head out, saying the body was being cremated, we couldn't see it and good bye. The body was never ID'd by family, all requests from PI for police reports and such were denied and a request to D. A to investgate have been ignored. My son was murdered and it's being covered up and I can get no help getting any further in this. Nye Co. Is the most corrupt county in Nevada and no one will look into it. Many, many laws have been broken, lies were told to a grieving mother, my rights to view the body and ID it were denied and the coroners report is false. Stay away from Nye Co. Nevada!
