Miscellaneous

Had a telephone call from this company today saying that I had entered a competition to win an iPAD or £10,000 - which of course I do not remember entering. She said that I was one of the lucky 100 people chosen out of this draw to be entered into Euromillions 280 tickets per week for 3 months at a monthly cost of £44. She also tried to say that I would also receive a haggle card giving me 30% cashback on all purchases. She asked for my bank details and I refused saying that I would take a look at the company details and my welcome pack first before I would send off my details as I never give this information over the telephone - especially to a company I Have never heard of before. She kept insisting that she wanted these details and when I continued to refuse she said that as I was sounding quite sceptical she would pass me over to her manager, at this point I put the phone down. She was very convincing and I fear that those who are not quite so savvy when it comes to phone scams will end up losing money here - beware!
