On August 9 I received a letter from Gateway Investment, Inc., stating I was the winner of the North American Lottery Sweepstakes.in that letter I was invited to contact the claim agent “Adam Westwood at 1-289-981-7284 or by fax 1-905-248-5082. A check for the amount of $3,495.00 was also attached to this letter.

Upon calling this person, I was told I needed to send 2 money orders for the total amount of 1,996 dollars to pay for Govt. Service Tax before receiving the total winning amount. As I felt this looked very much like a scam I took the check to my bank that confirmed my suspicion. I have the letter and a copy of the check if needed.
