Hiring Melina Paez to baby sit seemed like a good idea. We had met her through a mutual friend and even saw an improv show she performed at. As soon as she walked through the door, my husband, David, and I thought she'd be trust worthy. David and I chatted with Melina Paez and were impressed by how polite and well-spoken she was. I later found out from my friend she had gone through a traumatic experience a while back and for sometime was addicted to pain medication but it was my understanding she was clean and sober. Melina had shared stories about her ongoing struggle and experiences. It honestly made us feel even better about hiring her.

She had worked for us 3 times before I noticed anything. One night when my parents were visiting, we went out to dinner while my 2 year old and 3 year old sons stayed home with Melina. At the last minute, my mom and dad returned to our house to pick up my fathers jacket.
