I was on the Franch Connection Website and had forgotten my password and was trying to get them to send me a reminder. I clicked on their 'forgotten password' and immediately was requested for some information that I thought meant that French Connection would be texting my phone with my password. I entered my mobile network details and my mobile number and was texted a 'PIN number' which I entered and then received a text message 'FREEMSG-U have jhoined PlaynWin-U could win an iPhone4S in our weekly draw this August for £4.50 per week until you send stop to 60699 - Help08452251807-SP Everne. This in effect means that I have been charged for £4.50 already and will continue to be charged this amount per month until I texted Stop. I texted Stop to the above number and then received a Text saying FreeMsg: YOU HAVE UNSUBSCRIBED FROM THIS SERVICE. You will not receive any further charges. Customer Service 08452251807-SP Everno. I rang Customer Services and the call was taken by an American voice requesting my Mobile number - I did not give this but complained that what they were doing was illegal as it was misrepresentation. I contacted French Connection Customer Services and they said that that their It dept. Ahd checked their website and that it had not been compromised and thanked me for reporting it. My mobile is a company phone and I wish to know if there is any way that we can prevent paying this charge.
