An on going dispute with Aston Communications regarding charges allegedly occurred during a problem with a home line telephone connection. A call was made to report an outage of service, Astron said that they would come and have a look. The telephone connection was in a block of flats so it was agreed that the tech would ring a designated mobile so that access to the telephony cabinet would be granted once the company tech arrived. All day, on the designated day, no phone call and no tech showed up. Charges have now been included for two call outs that have never happened and that Astron cannot provide with evidence that they did. According to their own complaints resolution police a letter was written and posted to them at the designated address stating that all normal bills from the past and into the future would be honored and paid however the charges for services that Astron did not provide (If they did then they would have had to phone the mobile number) would not be paid. No communication was received from Astron other that more bills. The service has now been denied outgoing calls. This company it seems in not interested in resolution but wants to hold its customers at ransom by denying service, when they it seems do not want to provide any. What can you do to assist? Surly they have committed some offence in the communications act as there is no dispute over, nor any non payment of, any and all normally occurred telephone calls and charges. This is a dispute over additional charges for services allegedly performed that Astron have provided no evidence of. Can you assist or is there another government body that a complaint can be made to against Astron Communications?
