We placed a furniture order 3 weeks ago for sofa & love seat combo that was not in stock. At that time we placed a $1000.00 deposit for the item. The next day we recieved a call from Seaside Furniture stating they had made an error in their sale of the item and needed us to select a different item. We visited the store and selected a different item and revisted the order. We were told we would receive a copy in the mail. Yesterday we received a call from the sales rep at Seaside Furniture stating she had not received a signed copy of the revised order. We explained that we had signed the new order 3 weeks ago at the store and carried over the $1000.00 deposit. She then stated that the order still has not been placed and needed another signature. At that point we decided cancel the transaction because of irresponsibility on the part of Seaside Furniture. When my wife visited the store, they refused to refund our $1000.00 deposit EVEN THOUGH THE FURNITURE HAS NOT BEEN ORDERED. The manager who refused to identify himself became verbally abusive and through her out of the store. I called the store immediately. A man answered the phone but refused to identify himself. I asked for the manager and he hung up. I called back again, same man answered. I expalined the situation. He became verbally abusive with me and hung up after telling me "You'll never see the $1000.00".
