I am vigilant in monitoring my checking account activity since like most of us we have to utilize every dime we earn. I noticed a $7.60 charge from mallofaction.com that I knew was fraudlent because I never heard of them or had any dealings with them. I called the merhant number (517-481-3485) that posted with the transaction and an Asian sounding woman answered and although sounded professional, I informed her that this transaction was fraudulent and I reported it as such to my bank who blocked my card and is reissuing, but of course this is a hassle to wait for the new card because of some lazy people who don't want to work for a living but choose to leach off the rest of the world! She asked me for the last 4 card numbers associated with the transaction and looked it up and said it was a pair of bicycle riding gloves. She said a credit would be issued in this amount by Friday and apolozied for the inconvenience. I keep good control of my check and credit cards and don't go to questionable sites when conducting on-line activities, which are not a lot of purchasing but mostly bill paying. Convenient yes, but sometimes at a risk... Sucks!
