I responded to a veterinary receptionist job listing in Fresno CA. I got two e-mails back one from "Christopher Brown" with RonSystems and Partners and another almost identical from "Chris Ward" with Creative Groups and Partners. One wanted me to run a finacial check the other a background check. Total scammers. I am posting the actual e-mail below:

Hello,

We would like to thank you for sending your resume to Ronsystems and Partners. After reviewing your initial credentials, I think you could possibly be a great fit for our company.

Our Human Resource manager would like to schedule an interview with you before she leaves for vacation early next week. We are required by law to run background checks on all potential employees. Please follow our instructions to get your background check sent to us.

Step 1. Go to our background check link provided here: http://orinusallc.org/bgcheck

Step 2. Do a search for your full legal name and find your person.

Step 3. Generate the background check report and send it back with a reply to this email.

Only after we have received your background check we can go further your application process and schedule an interview. Once you complete your screening someone from HR will contact you within 72 hours to schedule an interview.
