Mortgage modification took 2800.00 and did nothing

A friend reccommended this attorney to help modify my mortgage I explained to him that I lost my job and that they found sink holes on my property, he told me he would charge 500.00 a month and he would get the mortgage modified he took 500.00 and then I spoke to the person who reccommended him and they said they were only paying 300.00 I told him I could not afford it and he said ok I will lower it to 300.00 this started in june he would take 300.00 every month I would not hear from him until the fee was due never called or sent anything I would always have to contact him I recieved a foreclosure notice he said I will take care of it I asked what happened to the modification he said you do not make enough. I didn't hear anything again in april I recieved a notice they were selling my house on july24 I panicked and called him he said ok now you have to go bankrupt I only charge 3000.00 I said I do not want to go bankrupt. I ended up calling someone on the internet for help they called Carrington mortgage company they are my mortgage company, they said they have never been contacted by edward dieppa and never heard of him. This new company I am dealing with stopped my foreclosure and the sale date which would have been tomorrow july 24 in less than 3 months. I tried to get some of my money back from the bank he sent phoney documents and said that i was late with payments the dispute dept sided with him and I got nothing. This guy is scamming alot of people he is a personal and bankruptcy lawyer he needs to be stopped and I would love to get my money back if you could help thank you stephanie perdomo
