Barnacles on crab legs

Ordered shrimp and crab legs and my crab legs were covered in black barnacles on back, a whole nest of them) and some on the front. It was disgusting, could not eat, waiter just told me they are barnacles. There was also some on the frt and on the plate. Gross! Not eating at Red Lobster again! Can the cooks scrape off those barnacles! Isn't presentation something you teach?
