Deceitful, bothersome, scam! Ripoff

As all of you know, when you have caller ID you scan most of your calls. I had been receiving at least 1 if not 3 calls a day from this company (which I wasn't answering).

Finally I picked up and they started out with something like this, "We have been receiving calls from some of our customers stating that they have been getting nescience calls from magazine companies. I told them they were the only ones calling me all the time. I had previously ordered magazines from America's Choice Reader Service.

Thinking that was who I was talking to I stayed on the phone. The man told me he had to verify a few things on my account so that he can put me on the NO CALL LIST. It began to sound fishy when he kept referring to my Visa when I only have a Mastercard.

When he asked me about my order I told him the magazines I had already ordered NOT KNOWING THIS WASNT THEM I WAS TALKING TO! I was getting very upset when he asked me for my card number. I stated, you should already have this on records shouldn't you? The gentleman stated my last four on the account which was my MasterCard.

I told him something didn't sound right if he already has the information, why he needs it again and that it wasn't a Visa I had and why he didn't know that. He stated if I just gave him my card number he would verify it with his records and I wouldn't be bothered again. That sounded like a deal.

I gave him the number and after he led me to believe he was the company I had already ordered from he said my first months bill will be billed to my card. I told him that I had already made my first payment it this wasn't making any sense.

To make a long story short, I just received a bill for $49.95 for the same magazines I already receive from another company. I'm very ticked off at this company making it seem like they were someone else. When the guy I was talking to should have came out and said This isn't the company you previously ordered from, but yet he bills me for magazines I told him I already ordered!!!

I feel betrayed and taken advantage of. Glad to know my husband is in Iraq putting his life on the line for people like him. Makes me disgusted. When you call to cancel and leave your information for them to call you, they don't! They always tell you that the call is being recorderd but I bet when I ask for the tape so they know how dishonest this man really was, how fast it would be misplaced and lost for good. Companies that have hire like this shouldn't be in business, I'll spend the extra buck at Joe Smoes magazine hut to keep the honest worker in business. No thanks Nadine Media USA!
