On June 29, we purchased a Canon lens from this company. We were instructed to purchase this lens by going to Amazon.com, purchasing gift card in the amount of $700 and then emailing it to them. When I got that message, I then went on line to look for reviews. At that time, I found several reviews from customers saying they were skeptical about doing this, found reviews, went ahead with it and received their items. The only negative was that a few people said it took a little longer to get their items, but that the great price made it worth the wait.
I emailed bytems.com three times to ask for a shipping tracking number and was told I would get one as soon as they rec'd information from their shipper. My third request went unanswered completely. Then I re-sent my third request and the email bounced back to me and said it couldn't be delivered. Now I can't even find their website anymore. We checked the phone number — by the way — it was a fax number and traced it to East Contra Costa, California. What can be done to help us with this?
