We stayed at Holiday Express Silver Springs FL on 06/22. This is a no smoking hotel. We respect that and smoke outside at the pool patio.

My husband always carries an ashtray so we won't dirty up the surroundings. We had a cigarette on the patio before we went to dinner and also afterwards.

There were plenty of people that saw us use the ashtray. One woman (who was a maid of honor for a wedding) even said, " You people are really clean about your cigarettes." One of the persons was an elderly woman that was a guest at the hotel because a tree had fallen into her home. Also, the bride and 3 of her bride maids and her father and mother were there also.
The next morning my husband emptied the ashtray in the trash bag after he poured a little water in it to be sure there was nothing that would start a fire.

I have called the hotel several times but I'm told only the owner can give us credit since we did NOT smoke in the room. He has not returned my calls and is ignoring us.
