I am trying to sell items on craigslist and ebay and keep receiving these scam emails. I was recently sent a scam email from Brine Collins who is well documented on this site. On this date, 6/23, I was sent an email which sounds just as fishy as the Brine Collins story. This guy writes:
I am interested, can i trust you? Am okay with the Price, please provide me with recent pictures of this item so i can see the condition before we proceed and Also, i'll be paying you from my paypal account, Due to My Job i could not be able to come over for the Text Drive and i have to buy as a Present for my Girlfriend, i want to make it a Surpirse package for her... Once Payment is made, a register Shipping company will come over for the Pick up and also handle all the Paper work and Tittle... So if you are still okay in selling it off to me, kindly get back to me with your Full name and paypal email ID so i can send the money as soon as i have your paypal info. So i can make the payment asap for the item and if you don't have paypal account yet, it is very easy to set up, go to http://www.paypal.com and get it set up. Looking forward to your response.

Tips for scams are the poor English grammar used by these idiots, who claim to be in the military and refusing to give a phone number which could be traced by Police. There is nothing really wrong with giving them your paypal email only, unless they can figure out your password and all your security questions. What scammers do is later ask you to send them money to help pay for the pick up agent or shipping company through paypal and then you will never hear from them again.
When advised that I was wise to his scam, go figure, I didn't receive a reply from him again.
Just another low life scammer trying to cheat honest people out of the money that they work hard for. Hope this helps.
